CW617N Brass Ball Valve is made up of a composition mixture of copper and zinc. These materials provide ductility and corrosion resistance to the valves but are not very strong as the stainless steel grades. The CW614N Brass Gate Valve is used with a gate. The gate is operated by a threaded stem which is driven slowly by the operator. The slow opening and closing of the gate prevents water hammer effect on the gate. There are other types of valves such as the CW602N brass Check Valve which is used in either open or closed position. These could be seen in different water supply and water line applications. There are different sizes of these valves with different standards such as the 2 Inch naval brass c46500 Check Valve and others. There are float valves which can float on the surface or submerged into the liquids. These are mostly used to maintain the level of the liquid inside a container or an open tank.
