Stainless Steel 301 Flanges are made up of a chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel that can be cold worked to get good strength and corrosion resistance. There are different types of flanges such as welding neck flanges, slip-on flanges, blind flanges, socket weld flanges and so on. These flanges belong to the ASTM A182 specifications. The ASTM A182 F301 Flanges can come in different dimensions such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI and DIN standards.
The pressure classes vary from 150 to 2500 for various dimensions of the flanges. The sizes range from ½ inches to 48 inches and wall thicknesses vary with the standards. The SS 301 Blind Flange is used to close a pipeline. There are different types of blind flanges such as the butterfly flange. These flanges are good to be used with any kind of SS UNS S30100 Pipe. The flanges also differ in face type as flat face, raised face and ring type joint. There are threaded, forged, screwed and plate flanges as well. The AISI 301 Stainless Steel Reducing Flanges are made from this material with 16% chromium 8% nickel, carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and nitrogen in the composition. The material has 125ksi minimum tensile strength and 75ksi minimum yield strength. The strength values vary for quarter hardened, half hardened, and full hardened flanges.
