The ASTM B335 Hastelloy B2 Fasteners are nickel and molybdenum-bearing Fasteners that have excellent resistance to environmental reduction. Strong Solution strengthens these Fasteners. The Molybdenum material used in these Fasteners has outstanding corrosion resistance in a number of degrading conditions. The nickel content of these Fasteners avoids the creation of grain-boundary carbide precipitates in the heat-affected region of the weld. During the hardening process, the fasteners are to be heated to a temperature of about 1950°F followed by rapid quenching.
